Your Personality Creates Your Personal Reality — And Why I’m Building Ember Elevation

I used to think success was mostly about grinding harder in the areas where I already felt strong.

Then I learned the opposite is often true. The places where we don’t excel — the blind spots, the skills we resist, the parts of the business or life that drain us — are usually the exact places where a helping hand creates the biggest leap. When someone steps into those gaps with you, you stop spending energy compensating and start spending it creating. That’s when things elevate. This isn’t just my opinion. It’s something I’ve lived, and it’s something the people I learn from keep proving. The teachers who shifted my path. Dr. Joe Dispenza has been one of the loudest voices in my ear for years. His core idea — your personality creates your personal reality — hit me hard. If the way I show up every day is shaping the life I’m living, then I get to choose. I can stay the version of myself that plays small, or I can become the version that is consistently upbeat, passionate, and focused on lifting other people. I chose the second option. And once I did, the path started rising. My love for helping others didn’t just stay the same — it grew. The more I aligned my personality with the reality I wanted, the more opportunities and people showed up that matched that energy. I also stay a student of people who sit with the best minds in any field. Steve Bartlett does this better than almost anyone. Watching him interview leaders across business, psychology, health, and purpose keeps reminding me that no one builds anything meaningful alone. The smartest people still borrow perspective, systems, and support in the areas they don’t dominate. Why this matters for business (and for Ember)Most business owners I meet are brilliant at the craft they love. They’re the expert, the creator, the vision-holder. What often slows them down isn’t lack of talent — it’s the parts of running a business they never wanted to master: the website that doesn’t convert, the social presence that feels inconsistent, the brand that doesn’t quite match who they are becoming. That's the gap Ember Elevation is built to fill. We step into the pieces you don’t want to carry alone so you can stay in the work that actually lights you up. A professional online presence, steady social rhythm, and a brand that feels like you — without you having to become a full-time marketer or tech person. When those pieces are handled, your personality has room to create a bigger reality for your business. The real “why” underneath all of this Knowing your why changes how hard you’re willing to push and how long you’re willing to stay the course. Mine is simple and non-negotiable:
My kids
My spouse
Our cat (yes, really)
Breaking generational patterns in my family
Those reasons keep me showing up even on the days the work feels heavy. And the longer vision is bigger still. I want to help create affordable housing in Lincoln. I want to build a tiny-home community for women surviving domestic violence. I want to support people coming out of prison as they rebuild. And eventually I want to bring versions of those programs back to Metro Detroit, where my roots are. Ember Elevation is one of the vehicles that makes that future possible. Every brand we help elevate, every business we help stabilize and grow, is another step toward having the resources and reach to do the deeper community work. A gentle invitation If you’ve been carrying the weight of every part of your business because “that’s just what founders do,” consider this: the science and the lived experience both point the same direction. Getting the right help in the areas that aren’t your strength doesn’t make you less capable. It makes you more free to create the reality you actually want. That's the energy I bring to every client relationship. Upbeat. Passionate. Focused on elevation — yours first, and through that, the bigger impact we’re both here to make. If that resonates, I’d love to talk. No forms, just a real conversation about where you are and where you want to go. Your personality is already creating your reality.

Let’s make sure it’s the one you actually want.— Meghan
